Guide

Can you rent a bounce house for a San Diego park?

Yes, you can often rent a bounce house for a San Diego County park, but most city parks require a reservation or permit for inflatables, and most parks need a generator because no outlet is close by. Rules differ by city, so check with the city or County of San Diego Parks and Recreation before you book.

Brian's San Diego Jumpers delivers to parks across the county. Text us your park and date at (619) 208-0855 and we will tell you what we can set up.

Permits and reservations come first

Most city parks require a reservation or permit for inflatables. Reserve your picnic area or field, ask the park office whether inflatables are allowed and get the approval in hand before you book a unit. Rules change, check with the city before booking.

Spring Valley is an unincorporated community, so its public parks are County of San Diego parks. Check with the County of San Diego Parks and Recreation department before booking an inflatable at a park there.

Plan on a generator

You need a generator whenever the nearest outlet is more than 50 feet from the setup area, which includes most San Diego city and county parks. Our 3500W gasoline generator is $78 per day, or $75 with cash or Zelle, and comes with enough gasoline for at least 6 hours.

Park rentals with a generator start at $220, and park rentals are guaranteed a minimum of 6 hours from generator start.

Which units work in parks

Most city and county parks do not allow water units, so for a public park look at dry slide rentals or a standard bounce house. The mechanical bull is offered on private property and approved venues, not city or county parks. Add shade with canopy rentals and seating with tables and chairs.

Lemon Grove park rules

In Lemon Grove, inflatable jumpers are allowed only at Berry Street Park and Lemon Grove Park, one jumper at a time. You need an approved Inflatable Jumper application at least 1 week ahead and proof of a jumper reservation.

Only standard size jumpers are approved; combination units such as water slides are not. The vendor must submit a certificate of insurance naming the City of Lemon Grove as additionally insured with at least $1,000,000 coverage, and a City of Lemon Grove business license. There is a $40 processing fee.

National City park rules

In National City, inflatable jumpers are allowed only at Las Palmas Park, with up to three jumpers at a time. You need an approved application at least 2 to 3 weeks ahead and proof of a jumper reservation.

Only standard size jumpers are approved; combination units such as water slides are not. There is a $25 processing fee.
